Libby was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose life was filled with love, laughter and adventure. She had a beautiful smile, a laugh that lit up the room, and a quiet strength that carried her through any situation. She raised three daughters and created a home full of warmth, loyalty and fun.

She loved summers at Shoreham and Point Leo – beach days with friends, dinners at the boat club, fish and chips, and mango Weiss bars. She played tennis in Malvern and Flinders, later enjoying pétanque with David, and loved teaching her grandchildren games like racing patience. Annual New Year’s Eve celebrations with the Shoreham gang were full of fun and laughter – especially when dessert ended up on the floor.

A talented project manager, Libby styled numerous houses, developed a love of antiques while working at Prinnies, and collected treasures from her time living overseas. She was active in her children’s schools and had a passion for Indigenous art, travelling to Faraway Bay to see the Bradshaw paintings.

Her adventurous spirit took her to over 30 countries – from sailing the Greek Islands and Croatia (including the famous donkey-and-t-shirt mishap) to exploring Russia, Asia and all corners of Australia. She loved music, attending countless concerts, and delighted in parties and the races.

Above all, she loved family  and adored her grandchildren, playing an active role in their lives – from weekends at sporting events to magical days at Shoreham beach, spotting kangaroos and visiting the Enchanted Maze. 

Libby’s joy de vivre lives on in the traditions she began and the memories she created.
