AGM 2023 Review

AGM 2023

It wasn’t too bad. We started only 5 mins later than scheduled. Through coughs and splutter the Chair managed to open the meeting and proceed with order of events; apologies , proxies and agenda.

Greg spoke to the financial report (distributed with NOM), which places us better off than we were a year ago and that’s taking in the fact that the Club didn’t charge the full increase of the annual fees as agreed to at the previous AGM.

Next item was the Presidents report (Annual Report) said to be 72 pages long. But, it wasn’t. Here’s a link - LINK - Basically the Club is in fine fettle with ongoing  ideas and events which met the approval of members.

The only item requiring presentation and and a vote was that of fees for the next Financial year. The main Full member fees are to remain the same, however, the fee for Associate Membership was agreed to be raised to $80 to bring fairness and equality.

As per Rules of Association, the current Committee stepped down making all positions Vacant. All Committee members renominated and as there were no other nominations the 2023/24 committee was returned as the previous.

The Chair was returned to Mr. Prez. Who thanked all in attendance. Closed the meeting, then invited everyone to stay for a forum with open discussion. Before enjoying pizza and wine for lunch.

More details of the AGM will be available on publication of the minutes - soon -

At the post AGM forum. Some discussion (in light of the upcoming Trips comp.) on practicing as teams prior to these sorts of events ensued, with majority of those in attendance agreeing this should be an option on any play day.
