Hello Rex, we’ve had a busy month, yes it’s been almost a month since we arrived here. Cleaning, painting, fixing etc. Of course, there’s lunches, dinners and aperos with friends that keep us in the social loop. Today was a day of firsts!

We had our French neighbours over for the first time for morning tea. I offered tea, coffee and croissants. Sabine came with this beautiful box from her bountiful garden including eggs from their chooks!  It is traditional, where time and space permits, to have super abundant gardens producing perfect, organic food.  I think I got the better deal this morning.

Then this evening at 9pm, we played in a Concourse de Petanque in the nearby village of Caunes. For the entry cost of €5 each it was fun, challenging and exhausting, finishing at nearly midnight. We were competitive, they were gracious when we won one game 13-10 and then lost two 8 - 13. Our prize was two cans of pate.
It was a very French kind of day.
