CPC’s big week to start the new year

CPC’s big week to start the new year

On Sunday the Club’s gate keys and padlocks were nicked. The big worry is no-one knows why

On Wednesday we had a late NYD celebrating the start of Petanque for 2022.

Only to discover the next day one of our players had been exposed to Covid that morning.

To cap it of Friday’s play was shattered by lightning and a violent storm. A month’s rain in an hour!

Somehow we survived the week

Thanks to players signing in to the Shelter diary we know pretty well when the keys were stolen

Sleuth Robert may even have the guy’s numberplate! Paul and JP quickly fixed new chains, padlocks and keysafes

25 players had a bubbly round of games on Wednesday. With luck we may have won more than just a game or two

Looks like CPC 1, Omicron 0. Graeme is feeling better and so far there’s no sign of it being passed on further

We had a fun dinner during Friday’s storm and afterwards the Club looked beautiful mirrored in its puddles at dusk

That was a week that was!
