CAMBERWELL PETANQUE CLUB    NEWSLETTER  JUNE 2025

It’s membership renewal time

Look out for your membership renewal invoice from Paul Williams in your email inbox. Fees for 2025-26 are payable by 30 June. Payment instructions will be included in your invoice.

For the third consecutive year the fee is $115 which includes your PFA licence fee. The PFA have increased their fee by $5  to $40. This additional charge will be absorbed by the club this year. The Associate Members fee is $80 (the same as member’s fees less the PFA licence). Fees are as agreed at the last AGM. If you have any questions you can email Paul
here.

We need to know if you are not renewing by 26 June

Even if you don’t intend to continue, the PFA will charge the club for your licence fee if you are on our membership list on June 30. We need a couple of days before then to get the list sorted and follow up. Please let Paul  know if you don’t intend to continue by pressing the button below. You will still have access to the club until 1 July.

Club Code of Conduct

With membership renewal coming up, it’s also time to reflect on our personal responsibilities as club members. With that in mind, we encourage you to review the Club Code of Conduct which has recently been updated. At the request of Council, we have also developed a Child Safety Policy. This policy sets out our standards particularly when we have schools, scouts, guides or other groups visiting the club. Thanks Deidre for your work on this.

As advised in an email to members last week, Friday night play in winter has been changed. From now until the end of August there will be two games starting at 5.30. The regular three game schedule will return on Friday 5 September. Card afternoons remain unchanged.

Cards are the perfect winter remedy

Games are held on the last Friday of every month from 3pm. Have fun, learn how to play, our games masters Leigh, Pam or Deidre are happy to show you how. The next cards session is Friday 27 June.

A new cleaner has been engaged to manage the monthly cleaning of the building.
