Welcome to our February 2026 Newsletter

The main items in this month's newsletter are the next Intraclub Tournament and a Family and Friends petanque evening, both in February. Wayne is organising a Piste Working Group, we really need members to participate. There's a lot more going on, check out the Upcoming section to see what's happening throughout the year.

Register by Thursday 5 February for the Intraclub Comp

The first Intraclub Competition for the year will be held on 7 February. Arrive at 9:30am, play will start at 10am sharp. The format will be the usual 4 games Swiss doubles with a lunch break in the middle. If you don’t want to play all 4 games, team up with another player and play 2 games each, but please form your pair when you register.

Doubles teams will be formed by a seeded draw, with less experienced players partnered with those who are more experienced to level out the competition. The tournament will be for fun not prizes. This event will replace our normal Saturday play. Members not wishing to take part can play informally on other pistes.

To register (or you if need to cancel, or have any questions) call Bob on 0414 403 733 or email  using the link below. At the end of play, you are invited to stay for wine and nibbles. Players of all levels very welcome. Register by Thursday 5 February.

Call for openers

If you are a regular player, please consider becoming a game day coordinator (aka opener). Without our trusty openers we would not have play days. There is flexibility within the rostering and you can swap dates with other openers if needed.

What is RevSPORT?

You may have noticed that club SMS are now showing RevSPORT as the sender (depending on your  phone). These are not spam. RevSPORT (aka Revolutionise Sport) is club management application we have implemented to manage nearly all aspects of the club communications and membership management.

RevSPORT is now used for the membership database, newsletters, emails, SMS, storage of agenda and minutes, invoicing for new members, and renewals. This is the reason why newsletters and emails have a new look.

Previously separate systems were used for each of these functions. What this means is that all members information is held securely in one place rather than across multiple platforms.

The application also can be used for event management and can provide a members-only portal within our current website if there is demand for this service in the future. RevSPORT is the system used by the PFA. If you have any questions please email Coleen.
